Seminar on Peace Education Program
The seminar on Peace Education Program in association with The Prem Rawat Foundation for B.Ed. students held on February 02, 2024, was a highly informative and enriching event aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of peacebuilding and conflict resolution among future educators. The seminar began with an insightful keynote address by renowned Dr. Sunita Magre, Professor and Head, Education, University of Mumbai, who emphasized the importance of integrating peace education into the curriculum to cultivate a culture of peace and non-violence in educational institutions. Following the keynote address, a series of interactive sessions were conducted by experts in the field of peace education. These sessions covered a wide range of topics, including the principles of conflict resolution, techniques for promoting dialogue and reconciliation, and strategies for creating inclusive and harmonious learning environments. Throughout the seminar, participants engaged in thought-provoking discussions, shared best practices, and exchanged ideas for incorporating peace education into their teaching practices. They also had the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops and activities designed to enhance their skills in conflict resolution, communication, and empathy-building. Overall, the seminar on Peace Education Program provided B.Ed. students with valuable knowledge, tools, and resources to promote peace and social justice in their future classrooms and communities. It served as a reminder of the transformative power of education in building a more peaceful and equitable world.
Counselling Session by API Mr. Pravin Patil, Navghar Police Station
On January 25, 2024, R.R. B.Ed. College, in collaboration with R.R. Junior College, organized a counseling session led by Assistant Police Inspector (API) Mr. Pravin Patil from Navghar Police Station, aimed at promoting a healthy and safe lifestyle among students. API Pravin Patil, along with Dr. Falguni Anish Shah, delivered a compelling presentation urging students to steer clear of detrimental habits such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and drug abuse. Emphasizing the adverse effects of these behaviors on physical health, mental well-being, and academic performance, they underscored the importance of making informed choices and prioritizing one's health and future aspirations. Additionally, students were advised to exercise caution in navigating social media platforms, avoiding exposure to harmful or misleading information. API Patil also addressed concerns regarding personal safety, particularly for female students, offering practical tips and guidance on staying vigilant and seeking assistance from law enforcement authorities in case of any threat or harassment. The counseling session served as a valuable opportunity for students to gain insights into risk mitigation strategies and to cultivate a sense of responsibility towards their own well-being and safety.
Session on Skill Development (Art and Craft)
In a proactive move towards sustainable practices and skill development, our institution recently conducted a workshop on creating eco-friendly cover pages for tasks and assignments. Participants learned innovative techniques to craft visually appealing covers using waste resources. From repurposing old newspapers to creatively using cardboard and marriage invite cards scrap and fabric scraps, the workshop aimed to instill a sense of resourcefulness and environmental consciousness. The self-explanatory covers not only demonstrated the participants' newfound skills but also served as tangible examples of repurposing waste materials for practical, everyday use. This initiative aligns with our commitment to fostering creativity while promoting responsible and sustainable habits among our students.
